The only snag is that the final scenario of SoD campaigns will claim that you can carry over Heroes to the next campaign, but it actually doesn't due to a bug. Instead, when you start the final campaign that supposedly should have your Gem and Sandro (and Crag Hack and all the others) from older scenarios, you'll instead get randomly generated
ok, is it just me, or is the shadow of death campaign ridiculously difficult. I'm only on the 2nd mission of the Gem campaign (i forget what its called), playing on Hard - and the fact the opposition starts with two garrisons full of higher tier units than you can muster in an in game month makes it increasingly difficult to progress.

The only exceptions MIGHT be Logistics, Intelligence, POSSIBLY WM (for Forgetfulness), and MAYBE Mysticism if you find Luna's six MP a pop strategy to be too dependent on magic recharging.
